We had Audrey's 4th birthday at The Riding Center in Freeburg, IL. We reserved two horses for the kids to ride for an hour and then finished the party in their picnic area. I really wasn't sure how everything was going to turn out since we had never been there before, but it ended up being a great day for everyone.
Patiently waiting for their turn to ride the horses!!!
After riding the horses the kids made rainbow necklaces using gummie lifesavers and Fruity Cheerios. Some of them ate them before they got them on the string. Ethan was one of those who tried to lace them, but just couldn't manage to leave them there. (i.e. bottom left corner)
Audrey's My Little Pony cake by me!!
Audrey had to patiently wait for her candles to be lit. We forgot to bring a lighter, so the dads set out to look for one. I guess by the time they were lit she lost a bit of her enthusiasm.
She was definitely more excited to open her birthday presents as you can see from the look on her face.
Grandma Rapp flew out for the celebration, but as you can see I didn't do a good job taking pictures of the adults. I'm even sad that I didn't get a picture of her with Doug and I. I've really got to get better at remembering to do that.
